Before he died, he straight up said "if I die, it wasn't suicide. I am not suicidal".

The point of the video is about Boeing cutting corners and not having proper safety standards leading to potential danger. I think we all know now what happens when you cut corners and dont adhere to safety standards (cough titan submersible cough) which is a pretty extreme case, but if Boeing continues to cut corners its just going to get worse

This is some movie / show stuff. Crazy. People also don't commit suicide in parking lots.

And I'm flying on one in two weeks....it was great knowing you all.

CEO and other executives should just stepdown and sell their shares to honest and experience aero company like ge or prat & whitney. This is just the end for Boeing needs new management period....

Boeing even cut corners on their 737 max.
The max had a flaw where the design of the aircraft would constantly push the nose up.
So they put a device in that would counteract the movement on the aircraft.
However, Boeing never told anybody this existed.
If Boeing did include this into the 737 Max's training, then pilots coming from previous models of boeing would need to be re-trained. Whereas if they didn't include the new information about the instrument, pilots already certified to fly certain Boeing models could fly the 737 Max without the need of any training.
So Boeing didn't tell anybody because they feared the extra training would cause less sales of the 737 max.

This, however, led to two fatal crashes of the 737 max. Both cases, the device malfunctioned and caused the plane to point sky high. The pilots didn't know how to counteract this, and crashed.
Boeing denied any wrongdoing in any of the crashes. Both times the believed cause of the crash was 'pilot error'.
After the crashes the device was discovered to be in the max, and Boeing was forced to release information about the device.

Aviation expert here. I wouldn't say the airplanes are dangerous (even with boeing's poor safety record the chances of a crash are incredibly low) and I think this video might exaggerate that. They certainly need to have better safety when building their planes, but it's not deadly to fly on one.

Think cuz the ceo is a used to be accountant, before the ceo was an engineer, so guess the current ceo wants to safe money

I will never fly Boeing and only Airbus. They have a better track record and have shown revising planes before there official release unlike Boeing using software updates to make up for a hardware flaw / design issue

So many boeing executives in this comment section 😂😂😂

The "you might die" statement is a little over exaggerated. Aircraft safety has gotten extremely good over the years compared to history. I'm in flight training and learning all the time about safety and redundancy systems that I didn't even consider. The more I learn, the safer I actually feel. However, yes I don't think anyone is disagreeing with the fact that Boeing needs to change. Prioritizing profit over safety especially in a field like this is unacceptable.

Dude the chance of a plane crashing is like 0.000242 or something like that

This is why do not put buisness majors on something like boeing

And still boeing fan boys are "saying The B737 max is safe" the A320 is far better and safer

Boeing is nowhere as bad as the media states it to be. This was one incident this year which wasn’t deadly that can be put on Boeings hands, the others such as engine failures have nothing to do with Boeing because they don’t make their own engines. And landing gear is a maintenance problem, which is a a responsibility put on the airport and airline. Sure this is one of the most disastrous Jet project Boeing has produced but it is nowhere as deadly as for example, the DC-10 Family of aircraft, which have crashed and killed around 2, 000 people, sure it’s older but it’s a similar case because the DC-10 subsequently tarnished The McDonnell-Douglas aerospace company’s reputation until its merger with Boeing in the 90s. Boeing definitely doesn’t deserve this hate, but I will say they are in serious need of some better publicity, better manufacturing strategies and maybe a rebranding. If they want to compete with Airbus they gotta straighten their shit up.
