I do maintenance and light IT in a warehouse. I had an issue with an HP stream 11 pro g4 ee notebook. It went to the black screen of death all of a sudden and there was no cursor. It wouldn't turn off (small white LED was still illuminated). Pressing the power button for 5, 10, 60 seconds did nothing. Pressing ctrl-alt-del, ctrl-shift-esc, and repeatedly pressing esc did nothing Lol. This small laptop doesn't have a battery you can just pop out. Ended up removing all the screws from the bottom, even the ones under the pads. Took some plastic computer tools and pried open the top to expose the inner guts. The battery is very flat and encompasses a lot of the notebook. I followed the battery power cables to the connector and unplugged the connector. This obviously turned off the notebook. I plugged it back in and pressed the power button. Computer booted right back up to Windows 10. Pressed everything down so it locked into place. I guess I should have ran check disk... but in a warehouse setting everything is... GO GO GO get it done. We need it now. lol.

What also helps troubleshooting is to understand the concepts and how the computer or system works.

In my current position, when a desktop or laptop doesn’t have an internet connection, the biggest fix is hitting shutdown. Not sure why this yields different results than hitting restart, but it does.

Thanks a lot I can’t wait it’s very good start.
My question is how I know ip is our system address, but I start to learn more I found its address also for location, is that means system and location for example if we use laptops and we go travel up address is a different?

I have to disagree with your first step, especially for this example. The very first step you ALWAYS need to take is to confirm the issue is, in fact, an issue. Using this as the example, the first thing I always do is to attempt to open a web page that the user has almost certainly never gone to before. I like to use cheese.com as my first check, but whatever comes to your mind will work as well. The reason for this is, I can't tell you how many times a user has told me the 'internet isn't working' when the issue isn't 'the internet' or anything to do with the actual computer itself. It's simply that one site didn't load, and they didn't think to try any other sites before contacting me. Issue confirmation can save you a ridiculous amount of troubleshooting time wasted on an issue that wasn't present, to begin with.
For this specific example, if the issue exists, I usually follow with an ipconfig /all. This tells me in very short order if the interface is down, or if the IP address is correct, etc. For me, being able to look ahead on the troubleshooting flow is worth its weight in gold to save me the frustration of time spent on the wrong decision fork.
