People can say what they want about the show but this soundtrack is S tier

for alot of people is the series of The Silmarillion a monstrous childhood dream came real. I'm one of'em. Never thought I will see the story of forging the rings and the story of Sauron in the 2nd age, never thought that this will be possible. And McCreary as the composer... that's like birthday and xmas together.

1/3 Dislikes to this masterpiece shows that a lot of the so called "fans" of lotr are just blind followers of the original Trilogy. And hating on everything new. No matter what

It's a shame that more people aren't listening to this. SO many people are hating on the show without having even seen it. I'm not happy about some of the choices, but visual's aside, they clearly nailed the music! "Valinor" and "In The Beginning" have me more hyped than I would have believed possible!

Khazad-dûm theme at 05:17 is a supreme artistic achievement. What a masterpiece!!

The Stranger is SO good with it's slow build up and meandering modulations. I love all of McReary's music but this might be the first time I feel like I like anything as much as his Battlestar Galactica music -- imo the best TV score of all time.

The Numenor track is my favourite. It really brings feelings of unparalleled splendour and pride in the Numenor that once was. Listening to it I imagine the bows of many ships crashing through the waves with hundreds of sails filling the golden horizon.

Finished watching the season 1 and just came here to enjoy the outstanding soundtrack. Can't wait for season 2 in 2024.

The Theme of Galadriel in Valinor is so powerful that my heart instantly fell in love with it's majesty and purity. It's like I'm under some spell that makes mundane affairs irrelevant and I finally reach into the deep foundations of my own true self and let existence contemplate every fiber of my being.

Oh my This soundtrack is a masterpiece!! It has everything: the drama, the enchantment, the magic, humour, strangeness, fear, stress, relaxation, peace, tranquillity, awe; I could go on and on, but so far nothing but splendid surprise! This is Tolkien in all his medieval, mythical, historical and artist glory ❤❤
Also I love how Numenor has Arabian vibes, that makes me think of lanterns and it just goes perfectly with the architecture and clothing.
Edit: watched the first two episodes last night and this was beyond anything I've experienced on screen. It was truly phenomenal!

I read an interview with Bear McCreary stating the choir was recorded in Vienna. As an Austrian and Middle Earth fan that read the Silmarillion, too, to think that the "voices of Valinor" are those of my compatriots gives me goosebumps 🥰

Listening to this album really took me back to to Middle-Earth, but my favorite piece is probably 8:37 . It's as innocent and cheerful, and everytime I listening to it I want to cry as I cried at the hobbit theme song. It makes me wanna belong to a world that I cannot be a part of... :(

Boy, this is so much better than I expected, and I am aware of McCreary's talent! This soundtrack alone makes the upcoming series worth watching, no matter how the rest of the production turns out.
Numenor is epic beyond words, so many tracks gave me chills and goosebumps. Like if you agree ;)

Bear has done it again. He made me cry in God of War and I haven't even seen this show and the music made me emotional. The guy is a musical genius. Its familiar enough to feel like LOTR but different enough to stay interesting.

I've been humming galadriels theme for a month now. I know my GF is going to react when I watch it with her.
