Agreed. The mental tax to do basic tasks is completely under appreciated in nursing. Even as non-novice nurses we don’t consider this enough.

Recently taught clinicians and told my student let’s flush that iv, had to calm her panic, talk her thru, get the supplies bc she didn’t have them, walk her step by step, then explain importance and documentation of it. I was tired for her. 😅
