Problems with the Arch Linux 'archinstall' script

This video is not to talk bad about Arch Linux or archinstall. This official script to automate some of the Arch installation steps could be extremely helpful, but as of April 2021, it needs more work.

Maybe by the time you read this, this script has already been improved. Otherwise you'll have to stick with installing Arch the manual way, installing an Arch-based distribution like Manjaro or Endeavour, or using an unofficial installer like Zen Installer or Anarchy Linux. (Or another OS entirely)

3:27 Instead of the "xorg" option, you can choose "desktop" and you get another menu for choosing a desktop environment.

I doubt archinstall will get any better, the arch community very much still wants new users to install it the old fashioned way (and rightfully so). I honestly expected Gnome 40 to be much laggier tho, especially on that stream ::::P Apparently they added multi touch gestures, can you test that with the stream?

archlinux is bad because of its pain in the neck installation procedure since there is no GUI installer which would be really intuitive for new users, then i will say arch is good but the archinstall script is so broken that it doesnt install on Legacy (BIOS) computers, only UEFI based systems.

I think the Archinstaller has turned out really well, if you need more help with the installation, you should leave it
