Recently I purchased a four post lift, and it has been working out very well. I'll review the lift, cost, vendor, and the one mistake I made that you shouldn't. This is an unbiased review. No sponsors are involved.

A 4 post is great but limited, engine or transmission removal some shortcomings, 2 post is great engine & transmission removal etc list go’s on both serve what a hobbyist need ! Hi Richard, Very good advise on buying a lift. I just bought a set of ramps so I can change oil in my '54 Chevy. It will make it less of a pain to get under the car.

Very nice lift and very informative! I earned my stripes on a two post lift, which I'm glad I did because of the safety aspects of a 2 post. They're obviously more unstable and more hazardous than a 4 post. Bolting them down is crucial because obviously, they would tip over with a vehicle on them. 4 posts are more stable. Vehicle placement is crucial on a 2 post because you're lifting via the frame or jack mounts if it's unibody. If it's not centered, obviously the vehicle comes crashing down and the risk of severe injury or death. 4 post is preferential when stability is important. Thanks for sharing, Richard!

Awesome video… just bought a 2 car lift.. my last lift was an American made Eagle (had it 25 years) this time I went with an APlus.. I found in my shopping that there is a wide range of prices for the same lift..and you are right once you start looking your email and phone starts to smoke

FYI, I’ve had a 4 post lift almost 40 yrs and was told by the manufacturer NOT to bolt it down. It is designed so the posts will move slightly if needed when raised or lowered to self align. If bolted down the lift may bind and that’s not what you want with a car up in the air. Plus most floors are not flat or square. Never had problems. You’ll like your lift

I just got me a new 4 post lift back in October and I love it, I like you shop around and got me a nice one from Advantage lift company an I love it, it was a little higher than yours but I got a good deal on it, my garage is 14 feet at the top an I can put 1966 up an my Trans Am under with not problem. I have pull the mirror on driver side in to put my F250 on but I just have to remember to do that, I still love watching every video you put out.great stuff

I would recommend purchasing a set of air jacks and in frame air line kit.

Yes sir that's a good post regarding what to look for when buying a lift. There are many of us out here who really do not have the ideal facilities for a lift and we must consider our restraints. If one is building a shop for instance what to have for a lift can easily be figured in. Once one has used a lift it is harder to go back to a floor jack and jack stands. 🥸👍👍👍👍👍👍
