I really like this paint palette. Normally, when I see something that is called cream or any sort of light beige, I find it cloying or insipid. This seems more like it is presenting the things that it is the backdrop for. "Here is your sink. A present for you." At least, it does in the photos. And, that's charming!

Thanks for this episode. This got me thinking about a couple of ep ideas. You do reference light and dark when you are talking about a paint colour but I haven't seen a specific focus on say what to consider for dark hallways, stairways, rooms etc and the same for bright rooms :)

I think this is the color I've been looking for. I've stared at paint chips multiple times, trying to find the color in my mind's eye. This might be it.

The kitchen at 1:40-1:59 -- what is the white on those open shelves? That look is exactly what I'm going for.

Another paint that is *double named" is white heron/ oxford white. It does make curious as to why this is done.

That's IT! That's gonna be my most of the house color! I've been sampling til I'm bout sick of it. I want to try darker baseboards and keep crown molding lite like thr ceiling. If it looks weird I can always paint em to match. Thoughts? And thanks❣️

I enjoy this guy talking about color and their nuances, since this is from a man's pov. I am an artist and also a color freak. Dan's takes are not florid, but to the point. This is just a very pale tan. Beige to me implies that there is a pinkish undertone to it. This does not, although he does say that it does have a small amount of red, to my surprise.
I want to ask Dan what he thinks of a room with a big variety of beige tones, some tend cool, some tend warm. Is this a mistake and look like a mistake? Should I try to cut back on the number of shades to say 3 or 4? I tried to mitigate this big range of beige variants with a very small amount of very bold accent colors and allot of very white. Does anybody else have some opinion???

This colour is ‘Magnolia’ in Britain and considered boring and dated. My rental is covered in it though and its making me depressed 😢brown carpets magnolia walls 😩😩
