Thank you, Doc great video. I finally had to take one of these drugs due to blood in the seminal fluid. I tried Tamsulosin but couldn't drive anywhere without stopping to pee. The headaches were bad in the beginning so I stopped now I have no choice. The Finasteride 5mg seems to be the better choice for me after your body flushes out the headaches in 1-2 weeks.

When I found out I had an enlarged prostate, my Dr. put me on 5 mg Finasteride and tamsulosin( don't remember the dosage). He said they work together. I developed breathing problems at night and found out that tamsulosin caused it so I stopped taking it. I can breath now.

Thank you for this video, Dr. Jedosa. After taking Finasteride, I experienced horrible side effects: low sex drive, trouble getting an erection, dry ejaculation and enlarged breasts. I had my doctor stop this medication and I am taking Tamsulosin (Flomax) now. So far, the side effects of Tamsulosin are less severe, for me.

I have been taking Flomax for many years but have recently added Finasteride for the Flomax seems not very effective in preventing frequent urination at night. After only 2 months of the Finasterite the frequent at night seems to have improved. But I am now concerned about the combined side effects of taking both.

I recently had a very unfortunate reaction to general anesthesia, given for a minor outpatient arm surgery. Apparently, the nerves in my bladder were disrupted by the anesthesia, and I also ended up with a distended overfilled bladder that had to be drained with a catheter a month later, I was prescribed Flomax which I’m wondering about considering my bladder muscles were already weakened and probably don’t need to be relaxed artificially by a drug. What do you think?

I took Tamsulosin for 2 days. The first day was kind of ok, the second day, I woke up in the morning with a terrible backache. I couldn't even get up. But throughout excruciating pain, I managed to make it to the toilet to pee somehow. I woke up with dizziness and nausea. The back pain took more than 2 weeks to manage. It was a nightmare. I felt like if I was hangover x10. I was changed to the Finasteride, and now the only sode effect is that I get a deep sleep and sleep longer, which is probably a good thing.

Finasteride prescribed as Tamsulosin had become less effective. The Finasteride targeted my prostate and after 12 days I had pelvic pain, pain on urinating combined with difficulty starting, slow flow and still getting up 5 to 6 times a night. Back on Tamsulosin, no pain but still getting up 4 to 5 times at night. Don't know what to do next.

I have heard that Finasteride also can effect the memory. I experience this as well as most of the other common side effects. but the memory lose is more troubling. I would be talking and can't remember the next work. something simple and common. like; I'd be talking, saying Please put, (then i'd freeze not being able to say "butter", on my toast.
