Como en esta edición no sirve de clasificatoria para Mundial ni Juegos Olímpicos, USA mandó uno de los peores equipos de los últimos años. Canadá también mandó su segundo o tercer equipo. Ni siquiera los dominicanos mandaron todo su potencial. Es un torneo muy devaluado.
