In humans, clapping is the equivalent of the clicker. You perform an act correctly, people clap and you get rewarded. I have used clickers many times to trim dogs. It works.

I'd like to ask, if I may, can you teach verbal markers at the same time as the clicker. For example, saying GOOD at the same time as you click the clicker? Or will this just confuse the puppy?

Can you use a squeaky out of a dog toy that’s been destroyed ?. Just like the food training can you ween your dog off treats as I don’t want my dog to be eating all the time so like treat training I don’t want to be clicking for the rest of my life so can I ween my dog off the clicker or it will be annoying when I do things with her like visiting friends etc etc

How can you make the clicker noise positive to a dog that has a sensitivity to sounds? One of my dogs has an issue with any popping noises, clickers, fireworks, gun shots, doors slamming after a gun shot, etc... Thanks!

Dude…where can I buy one of those finger clickers?? Googled it and can’t find one anywhere!! Find the problem with my clicker is holding it whilst handling treats etc
