Antique chocolate mold, used after 70 years

This antique Nestlé chocolate mold, hasn’t been used for about 70 years. The mold could be more than a 100 years old. I just want to see if i still can use it. I found the mold at work, where we have a little chocolate machine museum. and they allowed me to borrow it. The mold is made of metal. It’s filled with scratches, and has bumps. It’s also not straight anymore. I like a good challenge. I will try to make some nice easter eggs in different colors. I used cocoa butter for the colored eggs.
I hope you have fun.

As we age, we all hope to be allowed to be useful. You have been very kind to these old molds, Markus. This was a nice journey of chocolate nostalgia with these egg molds that pre-date colored cocoa butter, plastic molds, and the internet.
And the damage occurs with the green egg. No! Not the green...I like green. lol
Oh, THANK YOU for ending my search for a tamper. Nice.

Hello Markus, for a moment I thought the eggs will stick in the molds. I really appreciate what you did with these molds. Also your video is very explicit. Thank you

Awesome! I’ve been looking for metal molds to work with. I have metal rabbit molds. Fun to work with!

Dear Markus, your skils let me speachless. Thank you for give new life to those molds. Of course 100 years ago nobody had policarbonate molds, perhaps the material didn't exist then. Bless you and I wish you a blessed Easter with your love ones.

Great video Markus, is always good to see how things were done. It was also helpful to be able to see how to problem solve and correct minor mishaps. There are no mistakes, just learning thanks again.

Love old things that are still useful. People took pride in what they made along time ago and it shows in the quality years after.

I'm glad that you showed that the eggs didn't come out perfect. It just shows that mistakes happen and we learn from them. No big deal. Besides even unperfect chocolate eggs still taste really good. You could always use a paint brush to go over the unpainted areas, add decorations or even use a different color cocoa butter to paint or make designs.

Great video! Really interesting to see how it's like working with a metal mold, I've only used polycarbonate molds before. Can't wait for the next video!!
