Ratchet vs breaker bar which one should you use

If you’re breaking bolts and nuts loose that are really tight a break the bar is the way to go, of course ratchets make things Quick however it puts a lot of wear and tear on the mechanism if you’re dealing with things that are too tight or need to be tightened up a lot. Once you break them loose with a sturdy breaker bar then you can switch to the ratchet to finish removing the fastener or If you’re tightening up something use the ratchet to get it snug and the breaker bar to finish the job. Yea I get that but it’s easier to just throw on a extended ratchet that you don’t mind snapping like a Pittsburg you could go warranty for free
