We just spent our first day riding our brand new 2023 Husqvarna FX450. It’s a beast! The FX is billed as a closed-course competition off-road bike, which is code for GP and desert racer. About 90 percent of the bike is the same as the FC450 motocrosser, with a few concessions to make it appeal to off-road guys.

Softer suspension settings
Larger fuel tank (2.2 gallon instead of 1.9)
Kickstand
18-inch rear wheel
Handguards
Dunlop AT81 tires
O-ring chain

If you’re intimately familiar with the personality of the 2022 Husqvarna FX450, you will notice all the changes. First of all, it’s more powerful, particularly in the aggressive map. That’s the one with the green light, whereas the white light signifies the standard map. You’ll also notice that the frame is more rigid feeling and it squats less under acceleration. In truth, those traits aren’t as profound as you might think. So much has already been written about the new chassis that you would think it’s a night and day difference. The Husky still feels like a Husky, which means it’s powerful, it turns well and it feels light. We did put the bike on our scale and as expected, it’s about 6 pounds heavier than last year’s version. It’s 233 pounds without fuel. That’s still lighter than comparable Japanese 450s.

With the music, I feel like I just walked into a Sunday morning Southern Baptist church service! hahahaha

Enjoyed the video though! Thanks Dirt Bike Magazine!

Chassis is not nearly as stiff around the 10hr mark, depending on how you ride it, way more comfortable after breaking it in, also I have the 22.5 Factory Edition 450, so I don't have the lowered suspension, air forks work way better than I expected after seeing reviews and test, the only thing I will be doing is go up a spring rate in the rear, I love the chassis, but I'm also a pretty aggressive rider🤙

All I can figure with the companies that are still using air forks, is that it's cheaper to put on the bike. Spring forks are at their absolute peak now in adjustability and Rider comfort from cushy to firm and I wonder if we will see air forks at all in 5 years?

Please eliminate the music on your videos. People want to hear the machine not the groove

Not gonna lie, I loved the music. As far as this new chassis?… I think I’m gonna keep my money in the piggy bank for another year or two.

nowadays, why four stroke bike exhaust design similar shape like two stroke exhaust expansion chamber? does the extractor shape like two stroke exhaust expansion chamber work for four stroke bike ? is it for the back pressure?

How does this bike compare up against the two-stroke version?

3 hr race on a harsh bike doesn’t sound fun

Need a video editor who didn’t work for vogue or cosmo. Let’s hear the bike and a whahooo from under the helmet. This sounds like hold music for an insurance company 🤦🏼‍♂️

How does this bike feel with FC450's suspension and forks?

I have a feeling this bike is set up for higher speed riding. Not for single track root infested woods work. The 350 may be a better choice for that type of riding. The 450 may have a little to much power for tight trails.

That bike is the same thing as the Gas Gas ex 450 and the KTM 450 xcf
