You should recommend the Climber over the Spartan become the Climber still has scissors but just removed the wood saw which not everyone wants or will ever use.
The Ranger is a good alternative to a Huntsman but its one of those models thats never on sale and you only ever see them with red scales or the red scales with 'Camping' on but they're usually about £15 more than a Huntsman which gives you the extra metal saw/file and 2 extra back tools the small flathead screwdriver and the mini chisel.
Next up is the Handyman which only adds the pliers and the price is about an extra £10.
There is a noticeable jump in weight between the Huntsman and Handyman though 97g vs 118g vs 155g between those 3 models.
Huntsman go for £25 to £30, Ranger £45 and the Handyman £55. Of course you can always find them cheaper on sale etc..
The Climber is 82g and can be found from about £23.

I have one in black and it's very pretty and useful but those shiny scales scratch very easily. Personally I think Swiss Army Knives in this form factor would be better with nylon scales (less slidey in the pocket), or alox assuming they'd mill slots to put a toothpick & tweezer into them.

No metal file. I'll take a Ranger. But I'll take a Swiss Champ over Ranger.
