Whoever this guy is, he is not up on the most recent research. There are VERY effective methods being used now utilizing extended fasts to fight cancer.

Brought to you by big pharma and the status quo.

Processed or added sugar is the main cause of cancer. This has been known for nearly 100 years. Sugar in fruit is fine. There is no daily requirement for processed sugar, none.

Cancer is like a engine at max throttle (cell division needs 100x more energy than normal cells). Take away the fuel and the runaway engine will stop (cancer cell death). Isn’t that obvious.

He was just protecting his source of income being an oncologist. Money comes before patients well being.

does this doctor does not know about ketogenic diet? or he pretend not know about it 😕

There is a cancer cure publication going around that say cancer cells will not be fed by some other simple sugars (d-mannose or Galactose) but normal cells can. Basically the premise is to go keto to starve the cancer of glucose, then start taking the sugar alternatives to starve the cancer, without starving healthy cells, is there anything to this?

I stopped all sugars. No chemo. No radiation. I have no more cancer

I haven't taken sugar entire year and my health didn't "potentially suffer" other than looking better and losing weight. So stop scaring people by saying to continue taking sugar

The body heals running on ketones and glucose manufactured from proteins. The key is to drop Insulin to its lowest possible. This starves many cancer cells.

A cancer cell uses more sugar than normal cells so in the competition for sugar between normal cells and cancer cells the cancer cells will probably become weaker since the normal cells outnumber the cancer cells. If the cancer cell has a way to create sugar it will probably be energetically unfavorable since if it wouldn't the cell would always use such a mechanism.

You body makes its own glucose through gluconeogenesis. You DON'T need to eat external carbs. If you go keto or carnivore, your body will make glucose, but your body will still have less of it in its system to feed the cancer. Also, arguably cancer doesn't feed on ketones. People who have cancer who want to use nutrition to fight it, should do their best to cease eating any carbs, not just sugar and go zero carb keto/carnivore. And engage in intermitted fasting.

I think the MD is dead wrong that "taking too much sugar" when battling cancer won't exacerbate the cancer.

Further it takes a LONG TIME to die of starvation. So fasting and having nothing but water for say three days absolutely should be recommended for people fighting cancer.

Wow, that had to be the worst advice I've ever heard for fighting cancer brought straight to you from big pharma!

I think these two doctors are not qualified enough to talk about NUTRITION and BIOCHEMISTRY in the cancer cells. It's much more complex than you think.
I suggest you both to study the research from Prof. De Longo in term of FMD (Fasting Mimicking Diet) in cancer cells, especially in combination with Chemotherapy.

I suggest Dr. Tony to interview top researcher in the future, if you are able to discuss with them. ✌️

You need to challenge this guest on ketogenic diets and fasting, wherein the body runs almost exclusively on ketones, not sugar. This interview seems out of date and out of touch. Using words like 'sensible diet' is unscientific, it just endorses the current so-called standard diet, which is higher in sugar and processed carbs than its been for most of human history.
Sorry, you have not proved a misconception, in my view.

Cancer cells needs more sugar than the others and also normal cells can adapt the metabolism on ketones, and the cancer cells will not and they gets stress and very sensible to chemio

Dr Thomas makes some good points but contradicts himself alot in this video

He suggests there is a daily requirement for sugar?? This is garbage advice imo. Low or zero carb diets must be the way forward in combination with non aggressive therapies. Oncology is an entrenched part of the medicine=money matrix
