Yes! I always said to my high school students, “If the subject loves you back, go for it.”

I love this. It reminds me of my Dad. He’s always been horrific at spelling, writing and grammar, but he’s one of the most intelligent people I’ve ever met. I truly admire his wit in social situations.

My friend couldn’t even read but outside of school he was sharp as a tack. Picking up on things that went right over my head.

The fifth skill is mastering the art of recalling and structuring information seamlessly

All my teachers in school just expected me to just memorize everything and put it on a test a week later. Most of what I know, I taught myself many years after graduating. Thanks.

Funny thing is, different forms of intelligence are highly correlated. Chances are people who are good at one are often good at many. We literally have a word for people who only has a very narrow set of gift, savant.

I just finished reading Mastery, and wow, what an eye-opener! The timing was crazy because I found the book right after quitting my long-time job to chase a new one I've been passionate about. I turn 40 this March, and this book reassured me that taking this new path is the right move ❤️

It cracks me up when he uses the phrase, “blah, blah, blah”… it is a natural expression of connecting one’s thoughts to whom we are speaking to and everyone can understands what it means!!

Adaptibilty, the ultimate form of intelligence. Growing, shaping, and surfing your mind accurately and healthfully. For some reason I see no one doing this. Instead, people seem to stick to things like identifiers and characters. Oh, well

Thank you Mr Greene. Your interviews always opens my mind. I think this will FINALLY settle the issue of intelligence on the court of EDUCATION.

I’ve played guitar since 5th grade and I’m now 55. I feel like it’s helped me, immensely.

yes... it's also interesting to note that different cultures encourage different types of intelligence

And that’s why I’m a programmer. I can’t self organize (which is the 5th intelligence he couldn’t remember), I have „limited“ patience for social interactions, I’m no where near being able to even just stiffen my upper body without looking weird. With words I’d say I’m „ok“, I can speak good English and I’m definitely above profound in my mother language German, but I probably would have huge problems learning a third language, which I just do not try because I know this deficiency. But patterns ? Oh boy. I can see stuff in board games, puzzles or programs where other people are like „what? How?“. It’s my little guideline going through society.
