I am relieved to finally hear a politician in parliament who actually understands the travellers situation and actually cares about them as well, shame on all these gorger commenters who want all the property and land for themselves, I much rather share all of Britain's land with the travellers, they add a creative dimension to British life and they are economically beneficial as well!

I'm not a Roma/traveller/Romany or a Labour-voter, but that was a very well reasoned speech. Marginalised communities having someone with such passion and some power is so important. Hats off to you Laura.

Same the world over. How about abolishing ALL land ownership and making it a common resource? Unrealistic I know, but land as a commodity is just wrong and divisive.

I was truly shocked to hear such an eloquent and passionate defence, of Gypsies and Travellers and the problems we face daily in society! This was simply superb and gave me hope for our future. I have no doubt that if anyone can bring about positive change for us all, Laura Pidcock is the MP to do it. I hope that she receives the recognition and support that she so richly deserves and needs, to continue and succeed in her fight for our equality in society. Kushty Bok

0.1% of the U.K. identify as gypsy/traveller, 5% of our prison population are gypsy/traveller. Yet this woman says three are no more violent as a group 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️
