Sims 4 Expansion Packs That I Do Not Recommend!

Tbh I think high school years had so much potential but somehow they fucked it up.

BUY SEASONS AND CITY LIVING. with seasons, not only do you get weather, but you also get to experience holidays like christmas, thanksgiving, and a lot more. It also comes with a lot of great build buy items. city living has an amazing world because of the variety of apartments it has. and all of the festival’s are really fun to attend. all of my sims r in san myshuno just bc the world and gameplay is great.

The only one I have to agree with is high school pack… the whole thing was a big disappointment. But the island living and snowy escape are one of my favourites!

I do love island living and snowy escape for the reason that you can take your sims on holiday there. I just wish the franchise would add cooler features for vacations like hotels and more activities

I definitely disagree with Snowy Escape. It is an incredible expansion pack. The world is stunning. The CAS and build/buy are beautiful. It's nice to have a pack that's not so American like most of the traditional packs. The gameplay aspects are fun. Not just skiing and snowboarding but also sledding, hiking, sight seeing, rock climbing, visiting the onsen, weekly festivals, eating meals with family and friends with the kotatsu table. Overall it is a great pack with A LOT of rich culture to explore! Absolutely would recommend (although I wait for sales to buy almost any pack as you can often save 25-60%)

One thing that would have probably improved High School Years is a class schedule. Being able to sign up for classes that help build skills passively through studying. For instance, a biology class could help with logic and gardening. Even being able to switch out classes every few days for new ones and having specific requirements to get into some classes. Making it challenging and a little realistic yet rewarding.

My sim got expelled in the high school pack for “skipping school” she was a minute late to class bc she went to the bathroom then couldn’t go back to school at all 💀

Honestly Island living may be bland but having sulani and mermaids is just worth it for me god that place is beautiful

I only have to disagree with Snowy Escape. I really like that one. I did not enjoy jungle adventure that much because I prefer sending my Sims on more relaxed holidays. I really like that Snowy Escape has "normal" holiday activities, like skiing, hiking, relaxing in an Onsen and going to festivals. Of course it could have been better. I would prefer hotels over rental homes and I might have liked it more if Mount Komorebi was like Salvadorada and not a world you can live in because as it is now, there are always so many sims from other worlds over there (and of course, Judith Ward) that it kind of ruins the feeling of going to a different country. It has become the only world I use for going on holiday as it has some activities that you can only do in that world, which makes it worth a visit. However, I really enjoy skiing irl, so maybe that's the reason I like it so much.

I keep hearing bad things about Island Living but I still want it. I want mermaids and a coastal world and island elementals and the build/buy is so fun

High school years comes with the bunny social tho. I think it's pretty fun checking sims' socials.

also sims can now ask you to be partners instead thanks to the pack i'm just too tired of being the only one chasing all the time.

and i just love anything high school-y so overall i love it. very nice build and cas stuff as well.

gameplay wise, i actually like bringing my sims to high school bc it's like other active careers but there are more ppl. and sims can build potential long-term relationships/friendships from high school. i like that.

Ngl I adore high school years.. the build mode and cas are so good, and the gameplay just adds more to the overall feel of the sims (i usually play with teen/young adult sims so i might be biased)

I love the high school years personally. The hair and clothes are way more fashionable and abundant. And I love the option for teens to meet each other and join after school clubs. I love the grade system and it makes the university application more realistic rather than just auto yes to uni.

I just bought High School. I already knew the problems and cons, but I have to tell that I was SOO impressed and excited while in the CAS, even if I watched many videos here.
So if you really like that part of the game, it still can be really nice, imho.

I just got HSY and I love doing spellcasters/vampire roleplayers where vampires and spellcasters go to high school. It’s like blood fest for vampires

snowy escape had amazing build items that havent really been introduced in the sims, i really love that pack
