This actually is two songs, the first being Prelude 12/21, followed by Miss Murder (linked videos, as were the Apocalyptica songs featuring Brent Smith and Lacey Sturm). AFI is fantastic, and their catalog is an epic ride. Very much post punk in their origins, and lyrically, one of the best.

Mourningstar and This Time Imperfect are two of my favorites. Alot of people start with their most known album, Sing the Sorrow

AFI!!! Great song, bad ass live band 🤘🤘🤘BTW, if it sounds like you got two songs that’s because you did. The first part is the intro from their album, when the bass kicks in that’s the actual song Miss Murder.

I never really got into the emo/hardcore bands, but I loved AFI. Davey Havok is a very charismatic singer. Silver and Cold and Girl's Not Grey are excellent songs. I was obsessed with them for a good while.

Became a fan 22 years ago. Saw them live twice.. amazing band live. Sing the Sorrow (the album before the one Miss Murder is from) is an all time classic.

Leaving Song Pt. 2, Girl’s Not Grey, Silver and Cold, and Days of the Phoenix would be good ones to react to 🖤

I was never really into the whole emo scene, but this song is a banger. I don't really know much about the band in general, but every time I make a playlist of songs from this era, this is one of the first to get added.

I would LOVE to see you react to more AFI. Other options than the awesome ones already mentioned: Beautiful Thieves, Too Shy to Scream, 37MM. For some awesome Davey Havok screams: Dancing Through Sunday, Kill Caustic, Kiss and Control. SO many great AFI songs to choose from.

I can’t believe I miss the days where a 30 second clip of this would play on mtv after every show. This isn’t taking a shot at you guys, and you’ll probably never read this, but I hate that I can’t see you guys listen to this another time or even more to really soak in everything about it and develop a real opinion. Listening to a new song for the first time is almost always a little hard to fully wrap your head around but it is what it is. ANYWAY, love you guys

AFI was my teenage years. I truly believe they are solely responsible for bringing Post-Hardcore to the mainstream. Til this day, AFI remains my favorite band!

In the early 2000s they started a trend in music videos to have snippets of another track from their album either at the beginning or the end. Some cleverly created new tunes for the video alone.

One of the best bands to come out of the 90's in my opinion. I enjoyed their entire evolution of sounds but really dig the Black Sails in Sunset Album

Big recommendation for Leaving Song Pt. 2. Also “the Interview, ” that’s my favorite song by them but it was never a music video or like a pushed song. But it is a duet between Davey and Jade

You can do all of AFI!!! 🔥 been around for so long. Style has changed a lot over the years but still remain one of my childhood favorite bands. Art of drowning and the album black sails in the sunset are the best!
