My wife and I got global entry 8 years ago and we vacation in Aruba every year and my personal experience this has saved us a lot of time, to me it was well worth the money.

I did it for my parents and it took around 6 months to get a conditional approval. I would highly recommend once you set an appointment (mostly likely a few months away) keep checking their site for a closer date to reschedule a new date. I was checking everyday multiple times per day/hour.

we did this in 3 days flat.... the trick is to be willing to travel far off and get the interview (we live in Austin and travelled to Mission, TX for a quick interview). We applied on a Saturday before labor day, got conditional approval Monday morning, setup interview for Monday afternoon at Mission Texas, land border crossing and got approved before lunch time. Obviously we planned this as we were visiting South Padre island knew that Brownsville and Mission, TX both had usually same day appointment available

I have been waiting for 10 months now. I understand as there might be a big number of people applying & COVID shutdown making the process even longer than usual

LOL, this almost took 11 months for my family to get conditional approval. Once everybody has it...then what ? we are going back to squeal one, and the delays will become more significant with Global Entry program.
