I don't know why but Badlands National Park is one of if not my favorite national parks in the US. The open hike policy in this park is great as well because you can explore any place you can reach. The rugged formations are truly magical.

I just got back from there. I found the best hiking to be into the backcountry, where there is no trail. I got so far back in that I could not hear one sound at all. It was peaceful as I’ve ever experienced. I’m glad that everyone else does the overlooks because it leaves so many places where one can find true solitude. It’s what I live for.

I'm loving these videos Randy. Such a great overview of this beautiful park <3 So I have to share a story with you because you and those that follow your channel would understand more than most,
Being in the outdoors is my happy place. It provides me with a recharging power unlike anything else. National Parks is that times 10. Sharing that with my family is that times 100.

Today we finished day 3 of four days at Disneyland which will be followed vy for days at Star Wars Celebration next door in Anaheim. Disney and Star Wars have brought me some escapism and some wonderful friends. My brother surprised me and joined me on this vacation. We have shared some magical moments at Disneyland over the years and it holds special place in my heart. My brother asked me if after a 3 year absence from Disneyland is I felt that same magic and I said No. He was surprised. Now don't get me wrong, I'm having a blast and creating wonderful memories with my family and friends. It's I don't get the same fulfillment I get from being at a National Park.
I beliebe in balance and I'm sure we will visit Disney again someday but nothing compares to hitting the road and being immersed in the great outdoors amongst God's creation <3

I've been to the Badlands NP twice in the 90's and both times was fortunate enough to see bison up close (from the safety of our vehicle). It was magical! Love this park...so beautiful❤️
