An extremely detailed wallflip tutorial for beginners by Jesse La Flair. This wall flip parkour tutorial ( Freerunning Tutorial ) should give you all the answers that you are looking for but please let me know if you have any questions by commenting on this video below.

Feel free to respond with a video of yours if you want to show me what you have learned or even have me pick a part what you are doing right or wrong.

Please hit LIKE and FAVORITE so others have the chance to see and use these videos to learn and grow (plus it also encourages me to make more).

Please keep in mind there are many paths that you can take to reach the same destination. In these parkour and freerunning tutorials I will be breaking down the movement the way I know how. These are not the flashiest videos, and I do a lot of talking, but please take the time to listen and I am sure you will learn a lot.

ONE STEP WALLFLIP INSTRUCTIONS FOR BEGINNERS:

Step 2: Just like in the tic tac tutorial you are going to need to approach the wall with a little bit of speed so that you can get grip on the wall. (Forward momentum (If your leaning back right) will transfer into grip.)

Step 3: When approaching and stepping up onto the wall the space between your body and the wall should not be too big or too small, this would result in your foot being to far up or two low for a proper push off.

Step 4: Spot the place that you are going to put your foot on the wall and begin to jump up and place the ball of your strong foot around hip high in front of you. (At this point your body should be leaning away from the wall on a 45 degree angle)

Step 5: Your arms should be swinging up from behind you to help give you height as your foot pushes up and into the wall NOT JUST BACK. (Remember get height then get tight)

Step 6: After spotting and placing your foot you can begin to swing your opposite knee threw as hard as you can while starting to throw your head back to spot the ground.

Step 7: This is where you can choose to tuck tight to generate a faster rotation or open up for a slow laid out flip (ONLY DO THIS IF YOU ARE ADVANCED).

Step 8: Spot (look at the ground underneath you and see where you are going to land) your landing and then land on the balls of your feet and gently absorb the impact of the ground by bending your knees.

TWO STEP WALLFLIP INSTRUCTIONS:

Repeat steps 1 thru 3 but with slightly more of a run up.

Step 4b: It is important to watch the placement of your second foot! This will not only help later on with doing this trick on narrow areas but will also keep your body up longer and allow you to do a higher more properly controlled 2 step wall flip.

And then continue to follow steps 5 thru 8

@22B0NES I use final cut pro 7, the set up is on a tripod single shot, an understanding of where I am so I dont stack myself (stand infront of myself) and then a layer and cropping.

Its not embarrassing! Its a really tough trick to do if you are new to flipping. I would suggest getting a couple people to spot you and using something soft and safe as a landing

@LaFlairParkour I love your videos man, I started Parkour when I was 15 and I'm 25 years old now. I consider myself pretty good and I think you're up there with David Belle and Sebastien Foucan! If you ever come To Cincinnati or I come to LA, we have to get together and maybe you can help me make my first youtube vid. Thanks bro for keeping Parkour alive and relevant!

That helps a lot! Been doing the wall-flip for some time but never really was able to do it perfectly, Thanks!!
You should do a Double-step wall-flip tutorial. I could really use some help on this trick!

I would defiantly work on all of these... (I have tutorials for all of them) Precisions, Tic tac, Parkour roll, Safety vault and tripple back flips... Ok maybe not tripple backs but you get the idea. =)

I'm such a huge fan and I've been watching a TON of the tutorials you've made and they've been my favorite to watch out of everyone! (Not saying everyone's I've seen are bad, just saying yours are amazingly awesome! :)
I've been training for a year and some change now, and I drill my one step wall flip, and saw differences. Typically i do/did plant about waist height, but i now plant about chest height while jumping into it sometimes. Pro's or cons with doing this?
Thanks! (a clip may help...)
