Don't install SuperFoil SF40 before watching this!! All our tips & tricks!

We go through how we've been installing SuperFoil SF40, some of the tools we have used and some of the processes that we found helpful.
This is not an instructional video, we are just sharing our experience and what we found most effective for installing the product.

Would recommend using a staple gun for pinning ths quilt. We've recently done this and it's worked really well

Good afternoon, I have just discovered this product and love it ! I have discovered a wonderful way to cut it……. I have bad arthritis in my hands so big scissors don’t work for me ! Put a 1mm thick metal cutting disc in your 110 mm grinder, place foil over waste material then simply cut through it easier than hot knife through butter ….. try it !

just a note on the "nail gun" comment, Dewalt now do a roofing coil nailer. DCN45RND2 18v XR Brushless Roofing Coil Nailer.

I didn't think you needed the lagging between the rafters, I was led to believe the multi-foil went straight across the underside and stapled on.
If the manufacturer printed grid lines on the foil face it would greatly assist in cutting a straight line.

Staples mate. Bang some staples in it to hold it up. So much easier. 14mm.

Any concern about piercing the vapour barrier with your nail tacks?

Perhaps you could put a plastic wedge (spacer) between the batton and foil to get the flatness, also do knock the nail full in before finding how flat ceiling is

I am applying the SF40 to my own extension, I am really struggling with screwing the SF40, can you send me the details of the screws you are using.
