I was reared to not be over folks homes and later in life I realized that if you're over someone's house all the time you take away from their family time. A true friend who's not a secret hater would want you to have a good relationship with your husband. Period. Likewise, women who are married and not selfish about their husbands time would also realize that men need that men time together as well, that bonding is important. An old wise woman told me to always pray that your husband have good companions. So it works both ways. We need to encourage healthy relationships all around.

I had a single "friend" do this and it weirded me out. She also always tried to pry into my business and asked too many questions about my marriage, what I was doing, yada yada yada. 🙄The key word here is "had".

When i was single, i had a married best friend with 2 small children. I had to constantly tell her to let her husband know what she was doing and where she was. She was with me one time all night and kept asking her if her husband knew where she was. She passed out. I texted her husband to let him know she was safe. He responded at 8am and simply said thanks. 🤯 Eventually she started cheating on this man and didn't even tell me about it. When we all found out she pretty much blamed it on me because I was single and a bad influence. She completely blocked me and moved away. When I did nothing but always try to protect her marriage when she didn't. Smh.

When you get married you become as one. That is your other half and you should check in with your other half when you want to change plans. And it has nothing to do with control. It’s just showing respect for your other half and vice versa.
