Just the transition from the music being loud and full of instruments with him yelling “COME BACK HOME” to music stoping, him whispering “just come home..” and the piano going high-pitched and soft with barely any instruments playing gets me every time. It’s so beautiful and sad at the same time. It is a very wonderful song.

I remember waking up one day at my best friends apartment, the doors and windows were all open and it was raining lightly outside, light breeze; it was nice. I got up and walked to the kitchen and saw her sitting at the table painting, listening to music with her earplugs. She turned to me and smiled and said “I found the perfect song for rainy days” and told me the name of this song.
She lives in Europe now and I miss her so much. This song reminds me of that morning every time.

I feel like this song seems more like romantic love but so many lines make me think of my dad like, "Does she know that we bleed the same? Don't wanna cry but I break that way." "If you bled I'll bleed the same. If you're scared I'm on my way." He loves his daughters and would drop everything for us. He is happiest when we're around and we're lucky for it! It makes me misty-eyed every time I listen to it.
