INGREDIENTS
28 oz can baked beans with brown sugar and bacon
16 oz can baked beans with brown sugar and bacon
16 oz ground breakfast sausage of choice
1/2 of a large bell pepper
1 Tbsp dehydrated minced onion
2 Tbsp bbq sauce of choice
1 Tbsp stone ground mustard
1 Tbsp diced chipotle peppers in adobo sauce
1 Tbsp light brown sugar (optional)
1/2 tsp smoked paprika
1/4 tsp cracked black pepper
1/8 tsp ground cinnamon
1 tsp Maggi seasoning sauce (optional)

Cowboy beans and bacon are pretty common here. Personally, I like a jalapeño, and onion and BBQ sauce.

When I make these, none of it goes to waste! Between leftovers for dinner and lunches every bit gets eaten! It’s so funny this recipe popped up. My family is having a pre-union back home and on Facebook everyone was asking for my aunts baked beans and hamburger meat. I swear I’ve never heard of that combination before… looks great may have to give it a try! Thanks
