Ford was not the first employer to introduce weekends, but he was the biggest at that time. More important, Ford only introduced weekends after years of pressure from the labor unions. In other words, it was the labor movement, not Ford who won the right to weekends for American workers.

Even now, that's still not enough. I started working a job that let me do 4, 10 hour days with a 3 day weekend and idk if I'll ever be able to go back. I feel like I have a life when working this schedule
