On the whole, heart problems are the most common birth defects. But the earlier they're discovered, the more time doctors and parents have to prepare.

The team at Boston Children's Fetal Cardiac Program developed six questions, to be asked at your 18 to 20 week ultrasound, so you and your doctors will know everything you can about your baby's heart. If your ultrasound shows a possible heart defect, speak to your obstetrician about being referred to a fetal cardiologist as soon as possible.

If you or someone you know has an 18 to 20 week ultrasound coming up, please watch and share this video. It could save a life.
