Watch live coverage as SpaceX launches a Falcon 9 rocket with the O3b mPOWER 7 & 8 satellites headed to a medium Earth orbit. Liftoff from pad 39A at NASA's Kennedy Space Center is scheduled for 5:26 p.m. EST (2226 UTC) on Tuesday, Dec. 17, which is the end of a one-hour 27-minute launch window. About eight and a half minutes after liftoff, the first stage booster, making its 19th flight, will make a landing on the drone ship 'Just Read the Instructions' stationed in the Atlantic Ocean.
The Falcon 9 will head away from Cape Canaveral on an easterly trajectory. The O3b mPOWER 7 & 8 communication satellites are being launched for Luxembourg-based SES. This will be is the fourth pair of these satellites to be launched.
