I went to my hair dressing yesterday and she told me my hair looks much better than the last time I saw her and all the credit goes to Chris!!!! Thank you so much

It would have been cool to see you use an actual iron on the bread that you tried the flat iron spray on… because flat ironing uses direct contact, and the toaster can’t simulate that.

I felt as I was watching Myth Busters. Thank you. I have been following your advice for the last six months. The quality of my hair has improved immensely.

The key thing for Oil heat protectants is the smoke point (like a boiling point for water but just for oils). If it is higher than the temperature you’re using on the hair it will act as a protecting seal. If it’s lower, it will sizzle your hair. Every oil has a different smokepoint.

You have not just saved my hair but severe scalp pain. Your hair washing tutorial did what my medicated shampoo could not do alone.
The yeast overgrowth was so painful I couldn't sleep and I was loosing hair like I had chemo.
I lost 50-70% of my hair
And it is now growing back.

LOVING your channel!!
Would love to see:

1. Some videos of you teaching the model how to do her own hair. One thing is for you to do it from behind but trying to use these techniques on yourself isn’t so easy. I’m sure practice is key but do you gave any special tips to make it easier?

2. Some short(er) hair tips, techniques and tricks for those of us with thin/fine bobs.

3. Tool recommendations for tools with dual wattage for traveling. It’s a big investment so it would be nice to have a tool that you can take with you and use all over the world. 😊

Love your down to earth approach to hair care. I know your specialty is straight, long hair blowouts but would love to see your approach to naturally wavy and curly hair (and short styles).

About 10 yrs ago, I found a bottle of hair ...stuff on my local grocery's marked down shelf. It said "heat protection for blow drying" so I decided to try it. (I can imagine your face right now.) I used about a dime size amount combing it through damp hair before blow drying. My sets would last almost 4 days. When the bottle ran out, I couldn't find the same stuff so I used what I had before. Awful, AWFUL results!! Had to cut off my hair. It made a believer out of me.
Now I will not use heat without a heat protector. And I no longer use hair products from the grocery.
I spent over 20 yrs in marketing/advertising and I absolutely LOVE this demo! Thanks for the video

Hey there! I’m an elementary school science teacher in Louisiana so obviously, I love all your tips about protecting my hair especially against humanity. I have to say I found this video very entertaining! Before summer, I do an experiment with my classroom where we put sunscreen on hot dogs and leave them out in the sun. ❤

This is borderline genius...and hilarious. I was definitely using THE SAME leave in conditioner that he showed that claims to double as a "heat protectant" as my primary heat protectant. I feel duped 😡

What exactly heat protectants should contain as in ingredients? How to recognize that a product is a good heat protectant, also iron heat protectant? Would be good if you can educate us on being aware when looking on products :)

We need more recommendations for flat iron/spray protectants because the Kenra and the Redken are not readily available in Europe/RoW. Is the Alterna/Bumble and Bumble Bonding/ Keune (for example) hot irons sprays fit for purpose?

The thumbnail is priceless! Also, I will forever like, comment, and engage with your channel because I cannot thank you enough for recommending the olaplex no6 cream. It is the product I have been looking for my whole life and is a lifesaver for my super thick and curly hair.

I really just watched you put Olaplex on toast... But thank you for everything I have learned from you. I have been a barber for 15 years, and blowouts and having long, healthy hair is a very different skill set from bald fades. 💖

Thank you so much for explaining that leave in conditioners that mention heart protectant are actually not heat protectants. I was considering it to do both jobs. Even without the bread and applications, I feel your research itself is enough to understand proper hair habits. Very informative content.

This was one of the most impressive demonstrations I've ever seen. It definitely gives me more confidence in the heat treatments you recommended that I just got. ❤

LOL…awesome demo! I love Kenra products. Good to know it stood up to a blow torch…lol.

BTW, I admire your recommendations and the fact you’re not pushing crap products to the masses. You have consistently recommended the same products because they work. Bravo!

Ok I had to come back here to say I tried the Redken blow out cream and holy $h!t I’m so impressed. It did all the work for me. I do not blow out my hair and I’m crap at it but this stuff is amazing and it made it so easy. I am 46 and have never enjoyed doing my hair. Only regret is I wish I had found you sooner. ❤❤❤❤❤❤
