Came across this video. I live in Germany . Moved a year ago for a job. You said everything correct except one thing that it’s difficult to learn German. If you had come here and learnt German, it would be very easy as compared to learn German from India. You just need to join classes and practice as much as you can . You get lot of option to practice Deutsche here. Getting English job is little difficult but not impossible.

You also missed one point that in canada you have to earn CRS points to get PR but in Germany you only have to learn German till B1

I don't know about Canada, because m living in Germany, but I can tell everyone for sure here work-life balance is amazing and at another level. N also learning German is a way to integrate urself in German culture. For my job I don't need German at all ... N very happy about my decision for Germany. N never regret on my decision

Great comparison. Germany is better except for pr. European countries generally have better work life balance than north american ones. The biggest factor is pr. If pr procedure was easy in all countries, my choice would be Scandinavian countries ( Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland). They are much better in a lot of ways like work life balance and stuff

I moved to Germany from India last year. Got a job through LinkedIn directly from India. I live in Munich, and here most of the people speak English. I only know how to say hi and bye in German, and I am able to survive. The work culture is very good and everyone speaks English in office.

1:07 Sure majorly German unis me fees nahi hota but the state of Baden Wuerttemberg (BW) applies tuition fees for international students. Mene Tuebingen se master's kiya tha, I used to pay 1500 euros per semester for tuition fees and 150 euros for miscellaneous. Although dormitory was super cheap compared to residences in Canadian Unis... Aur public transportation was good enough, Canada is very car dependant country.... Also BW state me there are many well-reputated univerities like Heidelberg Uni (one of the oldest university in Germany, 1300s me bana tha), Tuebingen Uni (1477 year me), Freiburg Uni, Mainz (JGU), Karlsruhe (KIT), Stuttgart.... ye saare uni top 10 list me rehte hai QS ya THE ke polls me...
I did only A2 German and I survived for 3 years there, but surely if you want to get into the culture and make German friends then you need German language, other than that you can get by since many Germans speak English as well (or atleast where I was)
Ab Carleton University me hu and prices here are ridiculous...

Salaries are more in canada... Exchange rate dekhne se thodi pata chalta hai bro... Japanese yen INR se weak hai toh thodi na India me salary zaada hai...

Avg Canadian salary > Avg German salary

As far as overtime is concerened, if you have work experience in India I don't think it'd be that much of a problem. Yaha toh hum waise hi 50-55 ghante kaam karte hai on a 5 day work week without getting paid for overtime.

I don't know that much about Canada but as someone living in Nordics and having visited Germany many times I do agree with you to some extent. Language is a major barrier not only in Germany but overall Europe otherwise countries like Germany, Denmark, Sweden, Finland, Norway, The Netherlands are way way better than North America. Btw, it isn't that difficult to get PR or citizenship in Germany if you pass the required language test...and so is the case with Finland too. However it is difficult to get a citizenship in Norway.

Loaction 7:56 PR milne ke baad a PR holder must stay in Canada collectively for at least 1095 days (1095 days/365=3 years). Mere bhai it's not 2 years, it's 3 years after one obtains their Permanent Residecy in Canada. Galat information to naa dein please.

Rahi strong passport ki baat to as you mentioned, Germany definitely wins. According to the Henley Passport Index 2023, a German citizen can travel to 191 countries visa-free or visa on arrival, whereas a Canadian citizen can travel only to 186 countries visa-free or visa on arrival. Indians can travel to 60 countries visa-free or visa on arrival, Bangladesh = 40, Nepal = 37, Pakistan = 32 and Afghanistan is 27. 🙏

From a middle class person point of view, Germany is way better than canada but you have to hardwork alot and also German Government is trying to accept english language because there are less younger people and immigrants are getting problems to learn german

This is what you call “short and sweet”, appreciate you man, the things you said are crystal clear, although I have watched alot of videos & talked to few people, the only concern was language. Throughout the video, i was wondering why did you went to Canada but got the answer.
Btw it’s not that hard, the thing I realized was we expect much more, if we think like, ”we’re not going to learn it in a week, it takes time” then I guess it’s fine. Anyways, thank you very much. Much love.

The main challange in Germany is german language if ur fluence in German u can get job easily otherwise it will very difficult.
While in Canada English is acceptable.

And in germany after 2 years of study and 2 years of work experience you will get PR, so its not around 5 or 5.5 years, its only 4 years
