You truckers are absolutely amazing. To have the ability to manage and keep that beast under control along with dealing with stupid drivers takes incredible skill and patience. And you have to roll through all those gears! Outstanding!

Great video! I rode with my Dad in the Summer times in the early to late 70s. I’m 58 now. He was a 40+ year Truck Driver. Rip Dad.

I now understand why u have to have several years of B license experience to even take an A license test, and why it takes years before u jump on something that u drive. It is a blessing to master these skills. Great job!

All the people worrying about length of shifter. It is easy to shift with this size of shifter. I am listening this in gym to boost up energy level. Good job bro

When he reached to destination he's almost in 100th Gear😏

Maybe extend the shifter out the roof by cutting a hole through it and you can use a string to shift it

I can't imagine how much pain he is feeling after a long drive with his hand up there on the stick

Guys like you will always have my utmost respect. Society doesn't appreciate CDL drivers enough.

Drivers have raised shifter so people know they don’t drive automatics. This rare breed is called super truckers.

For some people a long shifter is more comfortable. You also get more leverage on your shift throw which helps to feel your way into the gear better. Like motorcyclists with ape hanger handle bars, its all in what you want and what's comfortable for the driver.

Love 18 wheelers, I'm Cuban- American reside in a awesome little town in Florida( Okeechobee)have been driving since 1997 and back then the trucks were simple to repair . Now you need a big ass computer to diagnose the screw up. I drove a 2001 Freightliner w/13 sp fuller and 3.73 rear gear to me that was a great combo behind the 12.9 Detroit, top speed 105 mph but it sounds like the rods wanted a divorce but never push her passed 85mph on down hill drops. My favorite little motor for back in the day. I now drive local a bit easier on my body. Occasionally i get called for a 30 day OTR route from some owner- operators to fill in and its get to run this great nation full of opportunities and money to be made. God bless the US and my fellow truckers.

I really like the simplicity of your videos..they bring me back to when I was a kid..I used to sit in the passenger seat or the back bunk and watch my dad shifting those gears. Man he loved his truck! I was always amazed Couse their were so many and he looked like a bad ass...thanks.

Nice shifter... Way to put additional stress on your shift forks!! Oh well, form follows function!!

I’m envious!
I never learned how to drive stick.
I can only imagine how difficult this is as compared to a regular car!
Truckers are truly gifted!

Literally everyone:
