Rylan's College DORM TOUR!

Moving Rylan into her BYU dorm was SO MUCH FUN! It’s a super small space, the smallest our girls have had as Freshman, but it is what BYU requires of all Freshman girls now for their first year. When I first walked into the room, it felt a bit sterile with the cinder block walls, etc, but we formulated a game plan and found a lot of GREAT ways to make the space work!

Rylan used different types of organization solutions, with multiple sized bins optimize her storage. Then brought in faux plants, gold desk decor, and textured rugs to liven things up a bit! Her shoe storage is GENIUS!

The centerpiece of the room is, of course, her Beddy's bedding and her sitting area, which is already a hit with many of the girls on the floor! She can simply ZIP UP her bed to make it in the mornings, and the sitting area provides extra comfortable sitting room for visitors to the dorm room! (We are minority owners in Beddy's, so special thanks to the team there for hooking us up with stunning zippered bedding!)

Hey Mindy! I wanted to tell you that last month I did 2 different versions of the CGH Banded Ponytail. The first was as a side braid, but using 3 braids, making double sided. The 2nd was as pigtails!

I like the way that is set up to where you can really have your own space in half of the dorm. Mine was not set up that way and was more difficult to organize.

wow she really made it look super cute!! it’s crazy in the US, in england i’m at uni and you never ever share a bedroom with people in our accommodation, only ever kitchens. most rooms are en suite too!!
