I drove for a few days with some friends in a Landrover from Marmaris to Antalya in early 1987, via Kas and Fethiye. There weren't really any tourists back then and the place was very quiet but beautiful and we met some great local people. Turkey was still about as cheap to travel in as India or Thailand in those days.
