I think that equilibrium is not explained correctly. You do not 'add up' ruin and restore, but each set of ruin and restore combine to 1 myst. The example in the rulebook makes that clear: 12 ruin and 12 restore wouldn't end up being 24 myst but are 12 myst (which then can be used as 24 ruin or 34 restore).

Tried learning this from the rulebook and it was atrocious. So many ambiguities its not even funny. Also the fact that every symbol and component has a special name just leaves you scratching your head as to what they are talking about. At its core this seems similar to Century Spice Road but with unnecessary complexity tacked on.
