Those memories last a lifetime, I’m 83 and my son is 63 and we still reminisce, time well spent.

There is no shame in the shot, the effort to find the deer, finding it and tagging it. Don't let it get you down Houston. That was a magnificent animal with a strong will to live. Don't ever hesitate to take a shot like that in the future. You are blessed to have such a wonderful loving family. At your age every experience is a life lesson and you have some great teachers. Head up and congratulations on following through the hunt until the end. Take care and God Bless!!!❤😊
Hats off to you Daniel, you are an inspiration as a man, father, teacher and all around good human being!
God Bless you and all of those you love and watch over!!!❤😊

Wow! Looked like a good heart shot. One tough mature buck. That’s the most extreme deer tracking event I have ever witnessed. I’ve been deer hunting for 50 years now and I have never seen a buck travel that kind of distance with a well placed shot. When you get him mounted he needs a plague titled “Super Buck”. Congratulations Daniel & Houston on your trophy buck. 🦌 🦌 🦌

Congratulations Houston! A very special memory made with your Dad by your side. My younger son lost his father September 13. Friday October 20th would have been his 69th birthday. My son took off early to go hunting on his farm property with his dad’s old bow and took a 12 point buck he has been seeing on his trail cam. We all believe his dad was right there helping him!

❤ great learning moment you're an incredible father teacher leader❤ Houston way to go Bud you did what you could I come from a family of hunters I live in northwest Oregon I grew up on venison that is how me and my three brothers were fed and what our parents did to get by and I just want to tell you I'm super proud of your incredible young man and you have an incredible intelligent leader for a father and I don't doubt for a second that everybody will agree that you didn't have a very good job and you put a lot of work into this and once again I'm proud of you❤

That is so freaking crazy man. I would have expected that deer to go down quick cause Houston made as good a shot as you could ask for period. I was flabbergasted..I thought he was going down every step. You could tell he was hurt bad stumbling and standing awkwardly. It never ceases to amaze me at the heart these creatures have to live. I'm just blown away! Anyhoo...the best of congratulations to you Houston. You made a terrific shot and you are becoming a great hunter. Keep it up little man. And you are completely correct God let you find that deer because you kept the faith. He sent Elijah ravens to feed him. And he sent you buzzards to let you know where to find your deer. God bless!

Super CONGRATS Houston!! That's not too shabby. Gotta be proud of yourself buddy. No doubt your dad's proud of you. That beautiful buck has earned a special place over the mental. Now it's EmmaLee's turn. But you still have another chance at a buck and one with a doe? Happy hunting.

I want to thank you and Houston for teaching me about hunting. I don't mean you taught me to go out and shoot a deer. I mean the ethics. I hated all hunters until you guys taught me the how's, why's and all that. I'm still not going hunting I'm way to old to learn it all now. I am so glad to come for the ride with you though. You and Houston are top notch, love the whole family. Happy hunting.😊

I’m glad y’all found him. Good job Houston, for an amazing report card and for a great shoot. I’m sorry you don’t get to reap your rewards, but at least you get the bragging rights and you have a beautiful buck to mount on the wall of fame. I hope y’all are blessed again and get to enjoy the meat.

I'm so happy you showed this hunting story. What a fantastic life lesson for Houston (and ME, too)! Houston's response to the emotional ups and downs. When you do your very best, and things still go wrong... Houston handled the disappointment so well, you and Houston did your best to find the injured buck, then you teach him (and me) to follow through and try again. Thank you! I learn so much from your videos and just want to say...Thanks and God bless you.

I'm so glad you recovered the deer. I think he caught the low part of 1 lung and the intestines. Still glad you recovered him.
