The producers of the shows were geniuses. They edited in interview clips of the women saying they're doing this to prove they're strong and independent, between the scenes of them crying and struggling to light a single fire.
One of the women started crying before even getting off the boat because her clothes would get wet.

that they were given a fish by men and then proclaim "we caught a fish" instead of "some kind gentlemen generously gave us a fish" is a perfect example of the delusion these women exist within.

Also men: *builds a whole functioning pre historical city with working water filtration and no mercy for any animals*
