Ephraim was to be King

This discusses Jacob's blessings in the Genesis to Ephraim and Manasseh, sons of Joseph. Ephraim, the younger, was supposed to be the primogeniture - have the birthright. Abraham gave it to his younger son, Isaac (though eldest by his mother). Isaac gave it to the younger twin Jacob, unwittingly. Jacob then gave it to the younger, Ephraim.
