Oh how lovely! That brings me back in the best possible way to the best possible time. The eighties were exciting! Jane is so beautiful - love the shot of her boots with the cows feet!!

This is like the wondrous feeling of being a small child in the ‘80s encapsulated into a song. When the world was still new and cynicism hadn’t had a chance to creep in yet. I get such an incredible feeling of nostalgia from it, even though I never actually heard it until I was an adult. I treasure this song and come back to it often.

Wonderful... almost a dream pop kind of a song. Substance and style!

Absolute delight; I never saw this video back in the day. It's super fun... and obtuse visuals much more like her other more unique and fascinating songs than this perfect pop confection (the required "hit"?). Loved her work then and still; what a talent and total creative. Joy!!!

What a lovely song! Thanks for posting! Her cow puppet sure was adorable. Wasn't sure where the video was going with that at first. :)

JANE likely STILL INFLUENCES others, as She's her OWN INDIVIDUAL. SO Creative too...

Check Out her Songs "Mimi On The Beach", "Sail Across The Water" or "Love Is Everything" for a few other Samples...

JANE SIBERRY is a Musical #Genius and has the most WICKED #Musicians whenever on Tour, too...

Do strive to Catch her #LIVE performing IF #Possible; As She's #AWESOME and sounds GR8 Performing! ❤

Fantastic. 2:40 is a homage to George Romero (circa 1978) in addition to other time stamps in this edit. Brilliantly interlaced with a certain undertone in the visual context in this presentation. Siberry is likely inimitable. Her inflections, sustain, and tone, were likely done "honestly" without a flanger or autotune and/or similar technology at that moment in time. It would be very interesting to travel to a moment back in time when she performed this song "live". I did see and hear Siberry at a music "festival" however there are so many "artists" performing in that circumstance, one tends to not be able to focus on just "one artist" for a relatively long period of time. One tends to be saturated by all the activity. At least that is my own experience with so-called music festivals with multiple presenters often playing simultaneously. I really enjoy her music, talent, and craft. Be safe out there folks and let us hope for a truly speckless sky.

This actually reminds of ymo, or more like one of their side projects, love the early 80s sound, so beautiful

KD Lang, what a voice! Goosebumps: I'm with you. She has that effect. Perhaps give a listen to her own composition, "Constant Craving", ;which she co-wrote with Ben Mink. Thanks for sharing your first experience of her with us. Her understanding of lyrics is unique and powerful.

"Is it lasting?"
And in asking the sphere becomes a line
A dotted line and to follow it
You must make a jump each time

A dotted page, a dotted hillside
A blast of dots a blind reader
And a flock of sheep
And a blast of trumpet shots

Here, all we have here is sky
All the sky is is blue
All that blue is is one more color now

A basket of apples by the back door
Beneath the sweater pegs
The autumn leaves lift along the street
A pair of dancing legs

Same as the vendor who likes to sing
As loudly as he can
And all he says is it suits me fine
That's the way I am

Here, all we have here is sky
All the sky is is blue
All that blue is is one more color now

I've seen this thing you won't believe
Why it's big, bigger than the biggest trees
High as the mountains, wide as the widest skies
And that's both sides, well, at least as big as me

Speak a little softer and work a little harder
Shoot less with more care
And sing a little sweeter and love a little longer
And soon you will be there

Here, all we have here is sky
All the sky is is blue
All that blue is is one more color, one more color
One more color, one more color now

These are some reasons and same as the seasons
They hold and then they fly
The goatless ledge, the honkless geese in
The speckless sky, the speckless sky

I hear you
I hear you
I hear you

I hear this and it's 1986. I'm at the record store with the coolest girl I'd ever met.

Clarkson's Farm brought me here. I recommend visiting both of them.

They could only film the cow from certain angles because the coked up cow wrangler was driving too fast to the site and the cow fell out of the trailer and got all scraped up. This according to director Jerry Casale (Devo) in the book “I Want My MTV”, which is the funniest book ever.

The opposite of slick and polished.
Meant in the very best way.
One of my favorite music videos.

Problem is that I can't understand half of what's she"s singing. The Rheostatics version is clearer (if somewhat dis-jointed).
