Learn German the natural way with comprehensible easy German!

In the classroom we are told to endlessly study grammar and memorise concepts, however, research shows that language is acquired through authentic experiences. The concept of Natürlich German is based on Dr. Stephen Krashen's second language acquisition theory, in which one uses comprehensible input to acquire a language, rather than 'learn' it.

… this is the exact slowness I need German to be spoken to give my brain enough time to recognise the words, translate directly into English and then reorder into correct English order. Perfect!

This is how language is acquired, thank you very much!

This was great! I’m 50 and began learning german about 9 months ago with Duolingo. I needed a story I could test my progress on and this was so well done! I was able to follow along and understood most of it! Feels great, thank you!

I attended a Hochschule/Sprachschule in 2011 & my teacher was Polish but her German was perfect & she had passed a test to be able to teach German. She was lovely & knew only about 4 words in English. So it was very good for me & my fellow adult classmates to force ourselves to speak German with each other. Your video is great fun. thank you for sharing

This is the best story in German I have found on YouTube! I know very little German and it’s so easy to understand you! Danke!! ❄️

Thank you, Anna! That was really useful. I am 52, I speak English on a very high level, I taught it for 26 years in a secondary school and I translate books into Hungarian but 40 days ago I started learning German with Duolingo. Thanks to your slow and illustrated storytelling I could understand the whole story and about 60-70% of the words. I only had to look up a few words here and there. The best part is that I have never seen Frozen so the story was completely unknown to me. Still I could understand it. I guess to you this type of storytelling feels ridiculous or stupid but for beginners it is immensely helpful.

Love it - thank you. This is how children learn afterall, they don't do exercises. This is the BEST way.

This is the first time I've listened to spoken German and (mostly) understood it implicitly without having to mentally translate each word to English. Your videos are extremely helpful, I hope you make more in the future.

She’s like a wonderful version of a children’s TV presenter reading a story. Her gestures and drawings are really helpful when I recognise a word as one I have studied but can’t remember the meaning. The expression and the way she gestures is very reminiscent of how animated BSL users are.

This is amazing. You speak at just the perfect pace for me to keep up and repeating some words helps me to make the translation and learn them.
