Thank you for watching How a High-School Dropout Became Baseball's Richest Player!

Do you think Juan Soto is worth the money the New York Mets are paying him?

Did the Yankees make a mistake not offering more money?

It’s funny, the Dodgers signed Snell and everyone’s begging for a salary cap. The Mets signed Soto and suddenly it’s the greatest thing to happen to the sport. Overpay!

My friend and I collectively agreed that’s it’s good that have a high ceiling when you operate a team but sometimes you have to be realistic. The Yankees have done a better job this offseason than any other team, I’m not a Yankees fan. Key points for the Mets this off season is getting pitcher rotation, bullpen depth and your first baseman, however they went for Juan Soto and luckily got Sean Manaea, Frankie Montas, and Clay Holmes, however there are still good bullpen arms Tanner Scott and Jeff Hoffman and for your rotation a Corbin Burnes and probably Roki Sasaki. The Mets could be if not more powerful than the Dodgers if they wanted to. Nowadays you buy a championship prime example Dodgers and Rangers, there’s only a few lucky like the Braves that it’s a really good investment. I’m happy that Juan Soto got an amazing paycheck but having him is a luxury for how expensive he is those 765 million could have made you a better team if invested correctly.

Shohei is making more money than Soto. Just because the contract is bigger doesn’t make him richer.

Baseball in DR is like what basketball is to the poor communities in the US. It’s worse in DR because there are far less opportunities and more poverty. As a Mets fan, as a Dominican, it’s a lot of money and I didn’t think he would sign with the Mets but I’m glad that he did.

Congrats to Soto and Boras for pulling off the heist of the century against the Mets. The highest value contract in sports history for the 6th maybe the 5th best player in baseball. 🤣

It was not his first at bat…it was his second when he hit the home run

5:26 👈🏼😂 to everyone saying that He’s not worth it…these are the moments that counts…it doesn’t matter if you bat .322 during regular season, if you’re batting .184 on the postseason (Aaron Judge) 🤦🏻‍♂️😂

I love how you try to make the highschool dropout part seem crazy but any kid from the Dominican Republic drops out to pursue baseball. Literally almost ANY Dominican player in the league right now is a drop out

If he doesnt hit at least 50hr in a season at least once this contract, is a massive overpay.

Are the Mets thinking of making Soto their main dish?
I get the feeling he doesn't have enough power. In the National League he'd only hit 35 or 36 home runs.

I love it. If the Mets can keep Pete Alonso our lineup will be super deep and if 2025 is anything like 2024 we have a legitimate shot at going deep into the playoffs and this will end my streak of saying maybe next year at 38 years. LGM!!!!
