The HMD key is an ideal £59 "burner phone" for people going through customs in America or China so long as people do a factory reset and use an alternative Google account in which you have never commented on YouTube before before entering these two countries. If this is done then there will be nothing on your phone for the customs officials in these two countries to find. You will still be able to take photos and send self censored emails in these countries using this phone.

I would say it is aimed at a child or older persons first smartphone, or someone who needs a temporary replacement if their phone is in repair

The pulse would be perfect for those, who want to swap from feature phone to smart phone. It's pretty useless to go under the pulse level.

The screen is not even 720p, so it doesn't really help playing 1080p video. May as well keep it to 720 or 480. Bottom of the barrel budget smart phone. 2GB ram on a phone is awful. I have a 3gb Xcover and you really notice if you have more than one app open. Very laggy. 2gb in 2025 is madness. Still usable for very undemanding users. TBH I still use as 5 year old S9+. That plays 2160 video. They only cost around £100 second hand.

I don't understand their business strategy at all it's like on one hand they are said to be focused on the environment and producing repairable phones, then they produce these phones with archaic chipsets that are simply E-Waste it's a disgrace to even attempt pushing this junk out to the public we are in 2025 for goodness' sake.

I feel sorry for the less tech savvy customers that don't understand, and they will suffer with the useability of these.

The Pulse base model should be the bottom of the line phone the chipset is akin to other budget phones not this.

At this point the company has no direction at all pleading that it is working towards being environmentally friendly and being more sustainable and fooling the customers and then doing this I am afraid they are just fooling/lying to everyone.
