This video will show you how and where to measure the temperature on a R-410A Split System for calculating superheat and sub cooling measurements. You can apply the same principles to other refrigerants R-22, R-134A, R-12.

Great Video. When you take refrigerant out, the SubCooling actually goes down though admittedly you are charging that fixed metering-device system via SuperHeat.

Can you do a video explaining subcooling and superheat in detail? Love these videos, they have helped me immensely in my field of facilities management

What was the issue with the low loss yellow hose to the recovery tank.

Unable to purge line?

So typically, out In the field, would you get the dry and wet bulb temps? I assume because this is a class room you just tried to teach the basics of superheat and subcool.

Also, with a system doing this, what would be some symptoms to look for?

Good teacher. If you could speak a little slower would be fantastic. Thanks.

I’m fresh on this but why did he put the yellow hose to the vapor blue valve on the tank ? When he open the high side of the gauge that I thought it was liquid ?
I thought the high side coming out of condenser to evaporator should be liquid and to recover liquid, I thought it should be connected to the red high side valve on the tank ?
Can someone please explain this to me ?
Im really trying my best to understand how an air conditioning works. Thank you

What numbers are normal for super heat and subcooling .??

Did you use a scale to weigh what refrigerant you took out? Great video thank you.

Purge the recovery cyclinder to remove any air going into cyclinder and the superheat T1 is connected passed the schrader valve which will restrict refrigerant and there should be a temperature difference.
