‘Dishonest hack’: Joe Biden blasted by social media users after pardoning son Hunter

US President Joe Biden has been blasted by social media users after pardoning his son Hunter before leaving the Oval Office.

Biden’s pardon comes after months of claiming he would not pardon Hunter after he was convicted in two separate federal cases.

The announcement came on Sunday night by the White House, with the president writing, “Today, I signed a pardon for my son Hunter”.

“From the day I took office, I said I would not interfere with the Justice Department’s decision-making, and I kept my word even as I have watched my son being selectively, and unfairly, prosecuted,” Biden wrote.

Prominent social media users slammed the oldest-ever sitting president for pardoning his son as a “hack” and “liar”.

“Dishonest hack until the last. Never change, Joe Biden,” wrote Scott Jennings.
