The Most Important Moment of Your Life

Most of us have learned to trade the bulk of our moments for a single moment in the future. This robs us of life. This video inspires us to break free of that paradigm and create a new one that celebrates every moment of living.

A light in the dark. One of those channels I "like" the videos of, before I actually watch them. Feels like heaven after being continuously bombarded with all kinds of nonsense.

This much wisdom deserves more viewers, and I shall do what little I can to contribute to that. Be well, good sir.

I think that the present moment not only is the most important moment of our lives. It is the only moment of our lives. All the other moments are just memories or hopes. Now is the only reality. Thanks for sharing :)

This is without a doubt one of the most wholesome videos I've ever seen on YouTube. Fantastic wisdom, Kenton. Thank you for reminding us of what truly matters in life - every moment that we choose to treasure.

What a great truth. How many moments are in one minute? one hour? one day? Living every single moment of every single hour of every single day... what a great life.

Thank you so much for this Important Message. It was not just your Words that spoke, but your Hands conveyed it even more....making it much more than what one hears alone. For you wished to show that we have to move out of the Mind of the Matter...into the Heart of the Moment; and your gentle moves of your hands depicted that so well.

The only other video of yours I saw was the one in which you survived outside in the winter 'sans everything'. I did not get as much out of that as I did in your closing words of that venture --when speaking of how much you came to in realization -- of "those out there" who cannot easily retreat or return to a better way due to their situation or circumstances. There are "many of us" out there in such conditions struggle and though we may never go 'wilding naked'...know that you are touching many lives just by sharing as you do. Much appreciation~

This reminds me of a story I read years ago about the fabulous present. A young child was told about the fabulous present and wanted to know how they could get this fabulous present, thinking it was some kind of amazing toy. It was explained to them it was not a physical thing. It was not yesterday or tomorrow it was the present moment, the fabulous present.

I totally agree. Just today. A woman came up to me and said that she believes that I am sent by God.
I had shared with her of my past (which is horrible by most standards). But because of my past horrors, I am in a great place for some to find solace. In my face, in my tears for them, in the sound of my softened and knowing words for them. They find the healing strength within themselves.
In each moment, there is so much sensed, but also, so much happening, that we missed.

Wise words, as always. I usually don't comment on Youtube videos, but there's this piece of text from a fantasy book I'm reading that perfectly goes along with this video, and for some reason I feel compelled to share:

"People have reality-dampers. It is a popular fact that nine-tenths of the brain is not used and, like most popular facts, it is wrong. [...] It is used. And one of its functions is to make the miraculous seem ordinary and turn the unusual into the usual. [...] It is very efficient. It can make people experience boredom in the middle of marvels." (Small Gods, Sir Terry Pratchett)

Thanks for continuously reminding us that we're living in the middle of marvels, Kenton!

As someone who has spent a LOT of time NOT being present, living in nostalgia or resentment over moments that are long past, I can attest to the absolute power of BEING HERE NOW. A great video Kenton, thank you so much for putting this good into the world. Recently the "news" seems so so so crazy, and it is important to be reminded that our true power lies in acting in the present moment, not despairing for some future or past pain. People like you inspire us, they tell us "No! Do not be afraid! Look, see! I have gone from the madness and fear, and there is joy to be found here!" May your journey be long and filled with many precious moments!

I didnt watch the video the day it came out on purpose, because I knew that I would be facing some sad times the next following days. This video really cheered me up, it was exactly what I needed.

mmmm A big change in my life has been looming for a while now and at first I was super guilty of focusing on that moment of the future... it made me so anxious of the unknown that eventually I started trying to push away those thoughts, and focus on not thinking about it. But I didn't replace it with being present in the moment. Instead I've been stuck in some anxious nowhere land accomplishing nothing everyday. Your words helped me identify this problem! Not only is focusing on the future a problem, but it is not enough to merely not focus on the future. Being present in the current moment is the balm I need. Thanks, Kenton!
