Donald Trump says Liz Cheney should face gunfire

Donald Trump lashed out at Liz Cheney, one of his most prominent Republican critics, as a “radical war hawk” and suggested she should be shot at, in an escalation of violent rhetoric towards his political opponents.

Trump made the comments on stage at a campaign event with the right-wing commentator Tucker Carlson in the battleground state of Arizona on Thursday night.

He said: “She’s a radical war hawk. Let’s put her with a rifle standing there with nine barrels shooting at her, OK? Let’s see how she feels about it. You know, when the guns are trained on her face.”
