Seal Stuck in Plastic Bucket

Seals are naturally curious and incredibly playful, especially when they are young and still exploring their environment. Anything new or unusual in their surroundings instantly grabs their attention, and they can’t resist investigating it. A round plastic ring from the lid of a paint bucket is the perfect toy in their eyes - it’s something to bite and tug on, and to swim through. Unfortunately, their playful nature puts them at serious risk because once the ring slips over their head, there’s no way back. Their thick fur and growing bodies make it impossible for them to wriggle free, and over time, the plastic tightens like a noose. As they grow, the ring will cut deeper into their skin, causing pain, infections, and eventually, a slow and painful death. What started as innocent curiosity turns into a fatal trap - one that should never have been in the ocean in the first place.

That chunky pup was a fur seal sealed with a paint can seal-certainly not the best of seals to hang out with! Best not hang out with those paint seal types chunky boy, they are definitely a bad influence and only bad will come from it!
