It's almost spring and time to prune back our Montauk Nippon daisies. No worries; a spring frost won't hurt the new growth. Get in there and cut the stems back to about six to eight inches from the base. You can repeat the process in mid-summer. Montauk daisies are fall-blooming daisies that grow well in well-drained sandy soil with lots of sunshine. Make sure you clean your pruners after working Nippon daisies.
Happy pruning and remember to hit subscribe. You'll receive loads of Karma chips. 🌼

I just watched a whole bunch of videos about montak daisies, and this was by far the most informative. Thanks!

I fell in love with these. Great year-round interest. They look amazing around the perimeter of a dirt-mound bed, alternating with sedum plants, with reddish brown mulch. The natural mound shape of these two plants will look like you spent hours shaping your garden, without any work.

Thanks for a very informative video. I did prune back my Montauk Daisies in early Spring but now in mid July they are getting very leggy and starting to flop so I will prune them back again now so that they won't flop over when they bloom in the Fall.

NO kidding. I had one take over three Azaleas!!!! I cut them back now and again in Summer. They bloom here for months and when you pick them, they last forever!!!
