Great video ! One tip ... hold you camera SENSOR DOWN when attaching it to your telescope

You picking up mayor dust on your sensor of your camera this way after attaching (still face down) use a air pump to blow off any dust and then attach it to your scope

This will clear your sensor from dust (or use in camera shake function, important again to have sensor DOWN so dust can fall OUT)

Thanks so much for this video ! I learned a lot... Im photographer and just started using a telescope to view planets...

Great review mate! The rechargeable AA and AAA batteries is 1.2v and alkaline battery 1.5v The led blink because take 2, 4v and not 3v. The motor run nice with a small lithium battery 3v.

Hi Martin, Thanks for the great video! I also had a look at the tuning video. I came across it while looking for information the the skywatcher AZ-EQ Avant-m mount. I have 2 Questions: 1. How would you compare (if you can) the Skywatcher Adventurer with the AZ-EQ Avant and the additional motor installed? 2. What is the equipment you made the two photos in our background ;-)? I like them a lot!

Woaw !! I am amazed this upgrade kit is enough to get deep-sky photos O_O All skywatcher kits being this RA/DEV motor kit or the star adventurer 2i declare not being able to track after 200mm of focal length. Still, in the video, you go way beyond that!! If I am not wrong your Newtonian is 500mm x 2 due to the Barlow. Are you limiting yourself to 20s due to the tracking error of the small motor? Could you go longer?

Very well explained and demonstrated . V impressive and explanations great.
I have a question Martin. How much power does the motor driver have to comfortably move the mount with the weight capacity of equipments it has to overcome without burning the RA Motor drive. Thanks

Hi Martin, great video, as a total beginner and thick old Yorkshire man I found this very informative. I wonder what exact model camera did you use? I need to upgrade mine for a model with the flip screen, so would appreciate knowing which one you are using.

I'm really torn between getting this motor drive for my StarQuest 130p and trading it all in and saving up some money. Do you know if I'd be able to reach focus with my telescope with a dslr? Because if I can an immediate way of me starting to take pictures would be to get this motor drive.. It's a SkyWatcher StarQuest 130p Newtonian Reflector. Thanks so much! Really great video :)

Great video mate . Any tips on finding the objects in the sky before tracking and taking pictures, also do you recon I could get similar results with the Celestron motor drive on an astromaster telescope? Cheers

Hi!! Very nice and understanding video!! I’d like your advice. I am interested in buying my first telescope and I am thinking of buying the 114 AVANT you are reviewing but I must wait for it. The Starquest 114n is available. Does it worth waiting to order the AVANT??? Thank you in advance!!
