It’s not about “ruining the aesthetic” there r just less fat people rather than skinny people so brands will lose money if they make more fat clothes rather than skinny clothes

Ugh this reminds me of when I was actually super skinny (was around 95 lbs) and my father bought me these beautiful combat boots with spikes all over them.

I was a runner, did track all that. I was a double zero back then. The shoes would not fit. My calves were too big. Not only did I feel embarrassed but I had to comfort my dad as it was the first gift he ever picked out for myself.

I still get anxiety putting on boots and knee highs and it’s been over a decade. I’m much larger now (typically wearing a size 6) but still not considered fat. It broke my heart watching my mum shop as she was actually a big girl and had convinced her self that clothes that weren’t available to her weren’t available because she shouldn’t wear them. Still livid thinking about it.

As someone who makes shoes it's not easy making boots for plus-size people because whenever you make them its either too wide or thin. when you make them to wide everyone hates on your small company for "thinking" a plus-size people are like SUPER HUGE or something but when you make them too thin things like these happen....

It's all of us.
I'm not fat but I was an athlete for many years, bosybuildibg and later on, mountainbiking.
16'6 inch calves, size 3 foot, narrow ancles and 4'9 tall. It is IMPOSSIBLE!
I once tried on a pair and tge sales assistent started pushing my calves; "Wecan usually squeeze the fat deposits a little". B****, it's god damned muscle, it's not gonna disappear, mo matter how much you push.
Be it fat or muscle, it's there. The end!
